Yes, this scooter is tested to be safe and permitted to apply for licenses. Until March 2024, our customers in 37 states have registered it successfully.

Our electric scooters are all DOT-approved with complete documentation for registration (including a Bill of Sale, Manufacture Certificate of Origin, Odometer Endorsement, etc.) Please get in touch with us if you need any help with registering.

In addition, the M1P (50cc) includes a speed limit function, which can control the speed to less than 28MPH. In some states, if the vehicle is ≤50cc, or ≤28MPH, it can be ridden without registration.

I love this E chopper. I must be the first person to have one in New Mexico because everyone is always stopping me to ask where I got it and how fast it goes what I paid for it ect. And being a girl makes this bike even cooler. My guy friends have Harleys and they all think this bike is really cool so thanks for making such a great product.

Love the scooter, but registering it in Wisconsin was expensive.

What a fun ride! Registering it in Wisconsin was simple, but expensive and complicated. Since it says "motorcycle" on the statement of origin, and since it goes faster than 30 mph, they would not allow it to be registered as a moped or anything other than a full-blown motorcycle. This involved paying Wisconsin sales tax on the purchase amount, paying vehicle title fees on it and buying a license plate. All this added up to a bit over $300, plus it needs to be insured, just like a car would be and I have to take a class and pass tests to get a motorcycle rating on my driver's license and be legal riding it.

If you want to license one here and can't take it with you to the DMV, shoot photos of the engraved VIN on the stem and the small federal classification plate on the other side of the stem. Take your phone with you so that you can show them the pictures.

Obviously, the regulations have not caught up with the current technology. Some sort of "enhanced moped" class of scooters would be nice. In the meantime, we just have to either pay the price and put up with the hassle, or ride "outlaw-style". Is it worth it though? Absolutely!

M1P Plus

I bought the scooter in May of this year .. 2024 .. When the scooter arrived it was the wrong one! I ordered a Red M1P Plus and they sent me a Black M1P! After a few emails back and forth they agreed to have the black one picked up and replaced it with the correct M1P Plus! At this time I was pretty disappointed with the whole process and gave them a rating of 3 stars! Moving forward 6 months and many issues and emails later it seems that most everything has been corrected and the scooter is working as advertised! A WORD OF ADVICE. If you are an impatient person and are not able to think outside the box or are not handy with your hands and technical skills, you may want to pass on this scooter! Not that it’s a bad product, it will just come with some small issues that take some time to figure out! The manual is VERY vague! They try to explain some things but the English language is not one of their strong suits! Be patient! Customer service is very good but again the way they explain things sometimes will not make sense! For example, when you stop at a light or stop sign for more than 8 seconds the scooter goes to sleep to maximize battery life! It took several emails to find the right person who could explain why since this issue was not mentioned in the manual! Their explanation helped me resolve the issue by telling me to tap the following brake to wake the scooter back up! Thinking through it I quickly determined they were talking about the rear brake lever! Problem solved! To summarize! I have now given a 5 star rating! I have ridden the scooter just over 80 miles and it works perfectly! MPH and battery life are as advertised any yes, it does turn some heads! Don’t be afraid of ordering a scooter, just do your homework to insure you buy the one that is right for you! Happy riding!
